The Art of Islamic Pattern
Granada Spring 2012
In Spring 2012 Art of Islamic Pattern will be running a four-day workshop in Granada, Spain looking at patterns from the Nasrid Palaces of the Alhambra. The programme will include practical classes in geometry and biomorphic design, alfresco classes in the gardens of the Alhambra and guided tours and lectures with local specialists. Most classes will take place in the Centro Cultural de la Mezquita de Granada, at the top of the Albaicin on the hill facing the Alhambra within the narrow winding streets of the medieval Moorish district, a world heritage site.
The £300 fee includes all teaching, materials and entrance to the Alhambra. Flights and accommodation must be arranged separately and we can offer advice on this.
