The Art of Islamic Pattern                                  Granada

A four-day study tour looking at patterns from the Nasrid Palaces of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.

The four-day programme will include practical classes in geometry and biomorphic design, drawing in the gardens of the Alhambra and guided tours and lectures with local historians and specialists. There will also be optional evening activities including Flamenco at the Sacromonte Terrace and visit to the Hammam.

Classes will take place in the Albaicin on the hill facing the Alhambra deep in the narrow winding streets of the medieval Moorish district, which is a world heritage site.

• Four day workshop: 30th September - 3rd October, 10.30am - 4pm
• Location:                        Granada
• Fee:                                   £200, including visits to the Alhambra and other cultural centres.

(The fee does not include flights or accommodation. Hotels will be recommended. Ryanair & BA offer fly cheap flights from London Standstead to Granada.)
